The Game of the Century

One of the games often referred to as the “greatest game of chess ever played” is the match between Donald Byrne and 13-year-old Bobby Fischer at the Rosenwald Memorial Tournament in New York 1956. Fischer, despite his young age, showcased extraordinary talent with a brilliant queen sacrifice leading to a checkmate. This game is famously known as “The Game of the Century.”
